About PVE

The Paarl Valley Eisteddfod (PVE) has been in existence since 1996. Together with our stakeholders and affiliated members, we create a platform for learners and private amateurs to develop and display their talent through dance, drama, visual arts and music. Schools, Private Institutions and Individuals affiliate on an annual basis and enter learners to participate across the various categories.

Our participants range from Primary and High Schools to amateur adults, from Vredendal, Vredenburg, Malmesbury, Riebeek Kasteel, Tulbagh, Wolseley, Worcester, Wellington, Stellenbosch, Kylemore, Durbanville and Paarl. They participate and compete in front of experienced adjudicators who provide standardized feedback. The PVE facilitates these activities in a not-for-profit manner, thus relying on the Paarl community and corporates for contributions.

Our annual Art Season takes place in April/ May and July/ August, followed by the Prestige Gala in September where our top achievers are honoured and perform, marking the end of our Season.

We look forward to the continuance of what the PVE subscribes to, working together to promote and enhance the various art forms to build social cohesion and cross-cultural relations.

Contact the PVE office if you would like to share your expertise and be of service!
